Besciamella (white sauce)
Besciamella, otherwise know as béchamel, is a "mother sauce" that adds deep, but delicate flavor and a creamy base to many dishes, such as lasagna, alfredo, and soups. This can be tossed in with any of our noodles for a wonderfully rich and simple sauce. The best thing about this sauce is it's versatility. Melt some cheese into it and you have mac n' cheese sauce, use it as a the foundation for any cream based soups, toss in some veggies or potatoes and bake for an au gratin or scalloped dish, add sautéed garlic and parmesan cheese and you have alfredo sauce, the possibilities are endless!
