Due to Pine Nuts becoming outrageously expensive because of high demand and the slow and labor-intensive harvesting process, we have created a Walnut version. This will rival any traditional pesto. We use all organic walnuts, fresh basil, garlic, Parmigiano Reggiano, Pecorino Romano, and extra virgin olive oil. It is great on almost anything--use as a sauce for any of our pastas, toasted bread, pizza, spoon it into soups to finish and even use it as a every day condiment.
